This grubby-handed gentleman left a jar of raw milk outside, in 90°F heat, for two days, until the solids started to separate, chunks formed, and I see some discoloration appearing, although that could just be from the filthy state of his glassware. He says this is an “experiment.”

I’m not showing you the video, because next…he takes a big swig of the rotten, curdled milk, and I nearly lost it. Would you drink any milk, let alone raw milk, that had been left to fester in the sun for a few days? I wouldn’t make you watch that.

But if you insist, here’s a link to instagram. Mmmm. Warm lumps of slimy coagulated milk.

Then he insists that it was probably better for him than when it was fresh, because the bacteria have had time to culture and develop more complexity. He reassures us that it is totally safe.

The raw milk fanatics are totally insane.

Even in middle school science class, when our science teacher showed us how to make yogurt, she told us to start with pasteurized milk and then introduce a bit of live yogurt culture so those particular microbes would have a head start.

And, you know, not to eat/drink it unless it looked and smelled like yogurt rather than spoiled milk.

Reminds me of the antivaxxers who caught the Covid-19 virus…and then died.

It is estimated that 400,000 antivaxxers died this way during the pandemic, in the USA.

I even knew a few of them, fortunately, not all that well.

Can’t be nearly as bad as the sandwich scene in Obsession, but I still thank you for not posting the actual video.

I had been drinking kefir (pasteurized) up until recently, which has a strong taste, but I liked it. I stopped due to cost. Kimchi instead.

Back in my weightlifting 20s I used to drink skim milk (pasteurized) by the pint or quart. Swore by the stuff. The thing was I was lazy and would toss the empties in the rear of my car. Imagine taking a whiff out of one of those after days festering in the Florida sun. Drink that? No thanks! Egads the smell!
