The personification of astronomical bodies is always amusing

Don’t hold your breath, Moon. NASA is in the process of being gutted, and they haven’t finalized on a lander yet, so while there are plans to return in a few years, I’m not 100% confident we’ll follow through.

If you’re pining for company, though, China might send a few people sooner.

With a national debt of 33 trillion dollars and rapid rises in that debt under Trump and the GOP, we probably see an end to such expensive projects for years to come.

Two planned Artemis landings are scheduled for 2028 which I really hope we do get to see happen, Guess that counts as “soon” Moon!

Would be great to have some awesome news and see humanity doing its best and most extraordinary, wonderful things rather than destroying itself below and tackling problems on Earth can be done at the same time. Plus, of course, the money is spent on Earth and provides employent as well as inspiration and technological advances there too.

As for NASA’s budget, well Congress is meant to get a say in that albeit the current one is a Trump rubber stamp equivalent in respect and power to the Senate of Caligula when he was Emperor.
