Slavering jaws! Venomous, needle-sharp fangs! Everything you love in a spider
I spent a pleasant morning playing with my little monsters, and one of them was lying just right, so I could look up into her jaws. I thought maybe someone else would enjoy the view.
You probably didn’t know how wet a spider’s jaws look.
That is seriously cool PZ, I did this stuff in comparativ anatomy some forty years ago, but seeing them move is something else, and yes, I wouldn’t have expected the drool.

Interesting how the animal remains motionless, save for the mouth, which has somewhat regular cycles of motion. Perhaps, moisture refreshment?
