What is the world coming to…now we’ve got video games that trivialize cephalopods and turn them into goofy cutesie-pie characters. I must protest!

Greetings! This is MG Myers.
Pharyngula is known for its vibrant community of commenters, and June was no exception. The June Mollies have been tabulated and the winner is <drum roll>
Classical Cipher
Classical Cipher is hereby inducted in the distinguished Order of the Molly. Virtual champagne all around! And this month we have mouthwatering virtual chocolate truffles as well!
As you are celebrating with the new inductee, be sure to leave the names of your July Molly nominations and the reasons for their selection in the comments. I seem to recall that July had an unusual amount of spirited folks making comments!
The Minnesota Atheists’ talk radio show this morning (9am Central) is all about gay marriage — we have a discrimination law suit working its way up the ladder in this state, trying to reverse the official homophobic policies around here. The World Humanist Congress is over. The closing ceremony involved a few speeches, the Norwegian Humanist Choir, and this video played on the big screen.
Since the president of the Norwegian Humanist Association, Åse Kleveland, is also a well-known singer over here, and since she did do a little tune for us at dinner tonight, I thought I’d share.
So I’m watching this video with the lovely damp lady with all the silk scarves, finding it all rather stimulating, and then it gets to the end and…oh, man. Castration anxieties. I’m going to go curl up in my bed and whimper.
I can tell that most people still have no access to Freethoughtblogs because of this DNS snafu, so I think I’ll go back to bed for a bit, and then putter off somewhere and tinker on other projects. Yell when you can see this.
Those crazy Swedes, bustin’ into song over the weirdest things…like “it’s all the gays’ fault”.
Hey, look, James Randi has seen an integral number of orbits around the sun! Everyone congratulate him today.
Also note that I actually have a t-shirt with his face on it.
