When I load this into Firefox on Windows, “Watch on YouTube” covers up the time. I’ve been told that it’s 4PM Pacific Daylight Time.
Oops, no, it’s 2PM Pacific. The 4PM is central time (where I live). I also see that the “Watch on YouTube” business has moved out of the way.

Youtube tells me this will be happening at 4.30 am my time. I’m veruy much a night owl and struggle to sleep but even still that kinda rules me out. Guess it’s hard to find time that suits a global audience but. Sigh.

Uggh! Completely forgot this was happening earlier today. Like PZ’s tighter haircut.
My mindblowing thing would be learning of affinity maturation in an immunology class ca late 90s. More recently it would be the relation of retrovirus infection, cooptive genomic incorporation, and evolution of placentation.
The shingles vaccine relation to reduction in dementia onset Marcus brought up is interesting too. Recently I came across an idea that chickenpox vaccination may have led to increase in shingles in other children who carried dormant chickenpox virus because they stopped being exposed to the virus in others periodically (an immunity booster).
