Is anyone still unconvinced that he is absolutely mad?

Come on, wake up. Trump has posted an AI-generated rendering of his peace plan for Gaza. It’s insane.

I also think Trump might have been played. If you freeze the above clip at the 0:31 second mark, you’ll get a glimpse of scantily clad belly dancers wiggling on a beach. They’ve got beards.

If you watch the whole thing <shudder> you’ll see why it would appeal to a narcissist — it’s got a giant golden statue of a surprisingly slim Trump, and gift shops full of nothing but golden statuettes of Trump. It reminded me of that giant statue of Saddam Hussein.

That’s what egotistical tyrants do.

Please, can we topple him now, even before the statues go up?

They are having a meeting soon to discuss the Trump plan to remove 2 million Palestinians and redevelop Gaza. This article is from this morning.

Trump’s Envoy to Meet Top Real Estate Developers to Discuss Gaza’s Future

Steve Witkoff, senior Trump envoy, is organizing a summit with some real estate developers to discuss Gaza’s reconstruction.
Amid strong opposition, the Trump administration plans to transform Gaza into a “Middle Eastern Riviera.”
Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Mostafa proposed an alternative $27 billion development plan as a more feasible solution.
The special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump to the Middle East announced plans for an upcoming summit. The plan is to bring together top real estate developers and regional urban planners.

This meeting will discuss the U.S. administration’s controversial plan for rebuilding Gaza. This proposal constitutes forced displacement and has stirred debate across the political spectrum.

No no no… Tyrants do things like raise taxes, regulate businesses, use government power to protect the public good, and FORCE us to accept the existence and humanity of anyone who’s not a white, cis-male, heterosexual, Christian, capitalist!

Times change and so do definitions! Do keep up! /s

  3. Robbo says

How long til some asshole decides to have the 2M Palestinians build the resort before deporting them?

  4. Akira MacKenzie says

    @ 5

Would they risk it? Having the natives as slave laborers seems to invite the possibility of sabotage. Better to import a foreign workforce and… OH GAWD I’M THINKING LIKE A SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON VILLAIN!

  5. numerobis says

AugustusVerger: Biden would have said he was very concerned, and Sullivan would have spent significant diplomatic effort to avoid “escalation” by Arab nations thinking they might need to invade to stop the genocide.

The Harris team: who knows, we never got to know it, but probably about the same given she hired the same campaign advisors.

  6. John Watts says

I haven’t heard any specifics about how Trump plans to relocate 2 million people who don’t want to relocate. Perhaps His Highness could issue another one of his Royal Edicts, this one titled The Gaza Removal Act of 2025. Or, he could follow the Stalinist playbook and just take all their food and livestock and starve them out. I’m sure Netanyahu would be a willing accomplice. Or possibly a forced march into the Negev? The IDF could handle any Egyptian opposition. There would be some inevitable losses along the way, but just imagine, the Gaza Riviera! Their deaths would be for the greater good of the MAGA-verse.

  7. numerobis says

For the most part the people have already been displaced, so that problem is solved already. Just a renewed bombing campaign will get things back to the state of a month ago.

  8. Doc Bill says

I am appalled by the total indifference the media has shown to what has been said about the “plans” to resettle the Palestinians. “Plans” is a term used very loosely because what has been expressed is a monstrous fever dream of childish fantasy and psychopathic cruelty.

Tangerine Palpatine blithely retched that the Palestinians would be “relocated” to “new land” with “big, beautiful houses in nice neighborhoods and be very happy.” (paraphrasing) Right, wave of a magic wand and poof moved. He went on to say that the Strip would be repopulated by “anybody in the world who wants to live in this beachfront paradise.” Except the Palestinians; they can’t return.

Are you nauseous yet? Sick of this sickness? Well, the pushback to this “plan” right out of Nazi Germany has received ZERO attention. Sure, it will never happen, but the abject inhumanity of the idea is so revolting that one has to ask, who are these monsters? Are we the monsters?

  9. raven says

    Sure, it will never happen,…

    Are you sure?
What they are doing is what they are doing in the USA.
Just wrecking everything as fast as they can, seeing what they can get away with, and until someone stops them.
If no one stops them, this could end up happening, 2 million people ethnically cleansed from Gaza.

…but the abject inhumanity of the idea is so revolting that one has to ask, who are these monsters?

These monsters are the worst the USA has produced.
Unfortunately for us, they represent around half our society, at least by the voting public.

    Are we the monsters?

    Yes.

Which we are you referring to?
Not all of us are monsters.
Many of us oppose the monsters.
    Just not enough so far.

I also think Trump might have been played.

There’s two possibilities here: 1) Someone planted this to either make fun of #KKKrasnov or incite opposition to it, and #KKKrasnov is too stupid and vain to understand it’s parody; or 2) they know it’s parody and are letting it stand to show it’s not hurting them at all.

Also, notice that weird white shape right above the “TRUMP GAZA” marquee? It might be the Disney Mickey Mouse logo with the head a little more triangular (reminds me of the mouse heads in “Maus”), or it might be a very simple ovaries-and-uterus shape. Or, you know, I might be overthinking a minor part of such a huge pile of shit…

  12. seversky says

I wonder if Trump Gaza will even last as long a Trump University or Trump Steaks?

Hey, Jerkhole kushner has billions in saudi blood money. Maybe he will donate some to build the tRUMP GAZA resort abomination on the graves of tens of thousand of dead Palestinians without a qualm! These are people who have had all traces of a conscience removed surgically!

  14. Doc Bill says

    @ raven 12

Yeah, it’s all pretty depressing, isn’t it? The Palestinian exodus has been proposed for decades. They don’t want to move and nobody in the region wants them. The entire situation has become painfully toxic even to discuss. I have put “on hold” a Jewish friend of mine who replied to my question of “how many eyes for an eye will it take” and he said “all of them.” I stopped short of the obvious Nazi Germany reference. Gotta know when to hold ’em, and when to fold ’em.

What I find mind boggling is (not really) is how indifferent the press is to The Orange suggesting we simply confiscate the land, take the property and sell it to developers. Steal land and sell it, hmmm, where in US history has that ever happened …

  21. StevoR says

PORUSZ = POTUS obvs. Turns out Americans by a horribly narrow margin actually in retrospect chose to vote for a King or two if you count the real power the unelected not-on-the-ballot Musk.

Some of us did try to warn them.

Hey, beholder, do you now realise how right we were now seeing this – just a month into the Trumpmusk regime?

Oh and FYI its pretty clear that Israel will be annexing the West Bank with US blessing now too :

The chairperson of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee has reportedly instructed committee staff to controversially refer to the Israeli-occupied West Bank by its Hebrew name, Judea and Samaria.

The move could be viewed as an ongoing effort to boost right-wing support for Israeli annexation of the West Bank in both Israel and the US following the return of Donald Trump to the White House, reports state.

The chairman of the committee, Brian Mast, sent a memo to 50 Republican staffers on Tuesday, instructing them to implement the language change, US news outlet Axios revealed.

However, the directive will not be enforced for Democratic staffers.

    Source : https://www.newarab.com/news/us-gop-staff-ordered-drop-west-bank-biblical-term-judea

    Plus :

US Republican lawmakers in both the House and Senate have introduced bills to prohibit using the term “West Bank” in official US government documents, replacing it with “Judea and Samaria”- the name for the occupied area commonly used by Israel’s far-right and extremist settlers.

The proposed legislation aims to reinforce Israel’s claim to the occupied territory, which it captured during the 1967 war and has controlled ever since, according to a report by The New York Times on Tuesday.

The West Bank is home to over three million Palestinians, including families who were expelled or displaced from their homes in what is now Israel during the establishment of the state in 1948.

    Source : https://www.newarab.com/news/us-bill-seeks-rename-west-bank-judea-and-samaria

    Also from The NewArab :

The population of Gaza has the lowest life expectancy in the world due to Israel’s onslaught, according to a new study.

Research by The Lancet medical journal estimates average life expectancy in the strip plunged by almost half to 40.5 years during the first 12 months of the devastating war.

Before the war, the average Palestinian in Gaza could have expected to live for 75.5 years.

This means that Gaza has by far the lowest life expectancy in the world, 26 years less than Sudan and 18 years less than Somalia, according to the most recent UN figures.

Nigeria currently has the lowest expectancy in the world at 54.5 years.

    Source : https://www.newarab.com/news/life-expectancy-gaza-lowest-world-following-war

Seen somewhere that the population of Gaza which used to be 2.3 million people is now more like 1.7 million or even 1.5 million with all that implies although not sure how accurate that is or where it’s coming from..

  22. John Morales says

“@23. John Morales : Also a plurality of those whose votes were allowed to be counted [blah]”

You seem to have missed the very point.

“a plurality of those USA voters that bothered to vote voted for him”, not that confusing, surely!
    Properly elected by the system.

He legit got voted in. Legally. Genuinely. Popularly.

This cannot be “given” since it’s pure unevidenced speculation.

and inflicted Trump upon the world instead – by just one and a half percent.

Or putting it another way “by the votes of 2.3 million people”.

Third party spoilers, Gaza protest voters who wrongly thought Trump would be better

Leaving aside that Harris was by definition not these people’s choice; “wrongly thought Trump would be better” does not follow. A person who refuses to throw the switch in the trolley problem to condemn a person to death cannot accurately be described as “thinking it’s better to kill lots of people”.

did you fools ever fuck the rest of theworld [sic] with your utter self-destructive poor judgement.

Still obsessively blaming people who didn’t vote for Trump, for Trump getting the most votes, eh? Why the focus on “spoilers” and “Gaza protest voters” and not people who didn’t bother to vote at all? They’re undoubtedly the largest group that didn’t vote for Trump or Harris (voter turnout was ~64%). Where’s your posts blaming them for “fucking the rest of the world”? Why are you more censorious to people who refuse to back genocide than people who don’t give a fuck either way?

Turns out Americans by a horribly narrow margin actually in retrospect chose to vote for a King or two if you count the real power the unelected not-on-the-ballot Musk.

That’s not a choice then, is it Stevo? If it’s in retrospect it wasn’t chosen.

  24. John Morales says

    Yup, I’m dead sure.

Not anymore than the previous election, or the preceeding one.

    That’s the system.

And, within that system, for the third and last time: “Yet, a plurality of those USA voters that bothered to vote voted for him.”

    Simple statement of fact.

A Steveo who has had genocidal intent carefully explained to him multiple times, yet he was still happy to look the other way when his favorite guy was in charge of it. Your pearl-clutching at this late stage over Israel’s actions is entirely hollow; a person in your situation with the proper level of self-awareness would be so petrified of your past and present genocide apologetics that they wouldn’t dare to opine on current goings-on in Palestine. He happily reconsidered his viewpoint, all I’m saying is I can understand people interpreting his new-found love of Gazans as possibly insincere point-scoring, especially when he’s lecturing others on being insufficiently conscious of the well-being of Palestinians by not voting for his preferred candidate in the 2024 US presidential election.

The bearded dancers are intriguing. I’m not sure whether they’re an accidental AI confection or the people who made this intended them that way, but they speak to a very old strain of racism against the peoples of the Middle East. It’s the classic ancient Greek “effeminate orientals” trope. Though you don’t see it much these days, and indeed it tends to contradict the modern strains of anti-Eastern racism that would paint the men of the Middle East as violent rapists. Looks like the racists can’t even get their racism right.

  35. StevoR says

@33. beholder : That’s a lot of words, projection and attacking the messenger in order to refuse to answer the actual question.

So, basically, you still refuse to see what a terrible nazi-enabling choice you made when you had the option of stopping Trump by voting for Kamala Harris or enabling Trump – and his plans for Gaza which we see in the OP here and you choose wrong. You chose to support Trump by de facto voting for him.

Whatever my past history – & yes, I was badly wrong in what I said in the past and have since admitted that repeatedly – I never actually put Trump in power. That’s on you and the whole world is now suffering from it.

What do you want now, StevoR?

An acknowledgement that you got things totally wrong and some remorse for it. A sign that you’ve learnt and won’t ever repeat that mistake – not that you’re ever likely to get another chance. An apology. That’d be good. Also surprising from you but still.

  36. Kagehi says

Now.. If it was me, and I was part of NATO… I would wait until all these “developers” and Trump where “in the air” and on their way to look at their grand freaking prize, then immediately issue a warrant for arrest, for war crimes, and anything else I could throw at them, and have my own freaking NATO troops also “in flight” to the same place, to f-ing arrest them all, while sending a clear message to Israel that its either that, or the whole of Europe will become real dang unfriendly to them too. Then again, this is kind of the whole problem with the plan – it is built on them having some place to land, where they can take action, and with Israel currently more or less in control of the area they would be landing in, its a serious pain in the ass. I would still, imho, put out warrants for every one of the f-ers, and tag and bag them (figuratively of course), the second any one of them set foot in any part of Europe, thinking they can go on vacation some place. Make them pariah any place other than their “brand new resort”, then make said resort, if it ever happens, crash and burn, by having every place in the world, other than maybe Russia, boycott the f-ing thing, permanently. As in, “You are not, as a citizen, even allowed to travel their.”

But, seriously, I would much prefer the “well, gosh, you thought you could get away with it? Get the cuffs boys!”, outcome. Heck, at this point I am almost pissed off enough to wish us into a universe in which Homelander existed, and all these people had an totally accidental encounter with him, mid flight. Well, except, that freak would probably be corrupt enough to be on their side…

  37. StevoR says

    @29. Silentbob :

(Voter suppression cost Kamala the Presidency) ..cannot be “given” since it’s pure unevidenced speculation.

Wrong Silentbob. The evidence and numbers showing this are available – see in addition to # 30. Rob Grigjanisés link :

Trump lost. That is, if all legal voters were allowed to vote, if all legal ballots were counted, Trump would have lost the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Vice-President Kamala Harris would have won the Presidency with 286 electoral votes.
And, if not for the mass purge of voters of color, if not for the mass disqualification of provisional and mail-in ballots, if not for the new mass “vigilante” challenges in swing states, Harris would have gained at least another 3,565,000 votes, topping Trump’s official popular vote tally by 1.2 million.

    Source : https://hartmannreport.com/p/trump-lost-vote-suppression-won-c6f

    (Bold original.)

Plus discussed in this YouTube interview here – Greg Palace (spelling?) talking with Kyle Kulinski on how Trump stole the 2024 election – 25 minutes long.

obsessively blaming people who didn’t vote for Trump, for Trump getting the most votes, eh? Why the focus on “spoilers” and “Gaza protest voters” and not people who didn’t bother to vote at all?

Because both groups are culpable? You reckon we should simply ignore and overlook the Gaza protest ones – and I did mention non-voters too. The ONLY way to stop Trump was to vote for Kamala Harris. Anything else, third parties, not voting, helped him. The USoA’s system stinks and needs changing but that’s unfortunately how it works.

Figures I‘ve seen incl here : https://ifunny.co/picture/31-78-voted-tor-trump-30-84-voted-tor-harris-a8cJCVw5C say

    31.78 voted for Trump,
    30.84 voted for Harris,
    1.06 voted 3rd party,
    36.33 did not vote

Presumably summarised but can’t find original. No reason to think these aren’t accurate.

Now do the maths 30.84 plus 1.06 = 31.9. Trump got 31.8 so yeah. Okay popular vote but then also how many more would’ve voted for Kamala Harris if third party spoiler candidates like Stein & West had done the ethical and strategically correct thing for the values they claim to believe in and pulled out and thrown their efforts entirely behind Kamala? What if everyone on the left had united behind her as they bloody well should have done instead of having some useful tools of the nazi side undermine and attack her over Gaza especially when as we now have proven for us that Trump really is far worse by megaparsecs?

Was this an election to fuck around casually with? An election that didn’t matter and wasn’t literally life and death for so many? Did we have the luxury of making the perfect the enemy of the good? No, we didn’t. Some did that anyhow. So we all lost.

Leaving aside that Harris was by definition not these people’s choice;..

Indeed – that’s the problem. There were two options to choose between Trump and Kamala and they did not choose Kamala so they therefore chose Trump.

..“wrongly thought Trump would be better” does not follow.

Yes, it really kinda does. If you want to protest over Gaza then presumably you want a better choice for Gaza. The choices were Kamala Harris who said the carnage was heart-breaking, who was attacked by the right wing for being too pro-Palestinian and who was working for a ceasefire or Trump, who, well see OP again for his policies. Kamala wasn’t Biden but even if the choice had between Biden’s policies on Gaza and Trump’s then Biden’s still would’ve been better. You know given Trump was as Mehdi Hasan and others pointed out the most anti-Palestinian POTUS ever and all the Repugs backing him & funding him e.g. Miriam Adelson, etc said.

If your issue was the question of what was best for Gaza then the correct choice was Kamala and even Biden was better than Trump. If all you as an “Abandon Biden / Harris” Trump voter (direct or indirect, no difference really) wanted to do was hurt Biden for Gaza hurt Kamala for not doing what she politically couldn’t do anyhow then well, congrats you got your wish. Gaza is now paying the ultimate price for it as are the rest of the Palestinians. Was it worth it? Weren’t you warned, it wouldn’t be worth it? (Yes, you were!) Oh and this is real life NOT a Trolley Problem thought experiment.

Why are you more censorious to people who refuse to back genocide

Trump voters direct or via Stein / West / not voting by choice (anyone who didn’t vote for and support Kamala) DID back genocide – they actually backed MORE and WORSE genocide. Because the alternative – the only realistic alternative was Trump. So, yeah, they deserve more and worse criticism for that. Plus for ignoring the Climate consequences, the Democracy consequences, the Global consequences of their extraordinarily poor counter-productive judgement. How many times does this need to be said before you & the likes of beholder who you seem to be defending here – get that? It ain’t exactly hard to fathom is it?

Jared Kushner praises ‘very valuable’ potential of Gaza’s ‘waterfront property’

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s former White House adviser and his son-in-law, praised the “very valuable” potential of Gaza’s “waterfront property,” suggesting that Israel should remove civilians while it “cleans up” the area.
“Gaza’s waterfront property, it could be very valuable, if people would focus on building up livelihoods,” Kushner said in an interview dated Feb. 15, posted earlier this month on the YouTube channel of the Middle East Initiative, a program of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and reported first on Tuesday by The Guardian. “If you think about all the money that’s gone into this tunnel network and into all the munitions, if that would have gone into education or innovation, what could have been done?”
“It’s a little bit of an unfortunate situation there, but I think from Israel’s perspective, I would do my best to move the people out and then clean it up,” Kushner added. “But I don’t think that Israel has stated that they don’t want the people to move back there afterwards.”

When these guys tell you they are going to do something inconceivable … believe them.

So, in order to punish “genocide joe” for his crimes against the Palestinians, the useless american left thought it would be best to vote in the guy who wants to genocide the Palestinians even worse? And yes, that was absolutely predictable considering Trump’s fanboying for NettyYahoo and the undying support he showed to Israel in his first term.

Also, nice to know that punishing “genocide joe” was so important that women, PoCs, trans-people, scientists, government regulatory bodies, the climate and yes, Palestinians were worth sacrificing for it.

You know what? I think you people are plain evil.

Who exactly are you addressing as “you people”, AugustusVerger@51? In this thread, I see only beholder who I know had the opportunity to vote for Harris and didn’t, or who didn’t have the opportunity (because not American) but would have done so if they could.

Ah, thanks. They said the name but show it on screen and my hearing is pretty terrible.

Palestinians have released a response to a widely ridiculed AI-generated video shared by US President Donald Trump. … (Snip).. In response, (to Trump’s AI video in the OP-ed) Sahat, a Palestinian digital media platform, released on X a counter-video portraying a different future for Gaza; a transformed enclave with refurbished streets, a vibrant seaport, bustling markets, and a reorganised society. In one particular scene, crowds of Palestinians appear to return to their homeland, mirroring real-life events when displaced people rushed back to northern Gaza after the ceasefire was announced.

The group also took aim at Trump, Musk, and Netanyahu – the latter of whom is wanted by the ICC on charges of war crimes in Gaza – by imagining a future where they face consequences for their actions during the Gaza war.

Mildly surprised, Kushner isn’t in the Trump cabinet now and doesn’t seem to have the influence he did in Trump’s first term.Albiet Kushner and Trump seem tohave been thinking along the ethnic cleansing lines for quite some time. I’d guess Trumpo’s motivation here might be petty payback for the Palestinians for notaccepting Kusner’s peace plan too :

Also the Trump Gaza AI video (TGAIV) was quite likely intended to offend and upset in the “Own the Libs” style deliberate trolling. with Trump also likely using it to distract from his domestic looting crimes and Musks’s power grab. (“Flooding the zone w shit” strategy.)

Real Life Lore has just posted this analysis clip – Trump’s Plan to Take Over Gaza is a Nightmare (50 minutes long) which I’ve only just started watching but their stuff is usually worth watching.
