Some of you may remember the discovery of the Cuttlefishism religion; I am happy to report that the founders have noticed our attempts at exploring their delightful playground. In a comment here, the original admin says:
I’m the original admin for the site. If there’s enough interest I’ll go in and redo the site to make it more modern. It’ll be in free time, so it may take a while though.
A kind and generous offer, and probably a bit of work, so I am asking here whether there is enough interest. I’d hate for someone to put in some effort, even on free time, if no one is interested. So, let me (or rather, them) know in the comments here.
As for me, I think it’s pretty cool, but that’s all I have to say right now. I have a stack of papers in front of me that should already be done, but for a surprise conference last Friday (which I found out about on Thursday, but which was worth every moment). So it’s radio silence for me for a bit. The comments are yours.

I certainly think it’s pretty cool and would like to see Cuttlefishism properly celebrated as the one true religion that it is.

I saw in the comments for the last blog post that you were having problems with authentication. I think the main problem is that the forums we used are so old and decrepit that they’re just plain broken now. We’re going to try upgrading to a newer version tomorrow, but if that doesn’t work we may just go with a completely new forums site. I’m having a lot of trouble doing any editing since my computer is down and I’m limited to what I can do on my iPad (which likes to freak out sometimes) and also because I’m basically relearning how to work the forums after 4 years of neglect. I’ll try to get some stuff done Thursday and Friday on it, and hopefully I’ll be able to debug my PC.
I think it’s kinda funny how it’s suddenly gotten some interest again after so long. As Eric said, he sent me the link to it for my birthday as a joke, and ended up finding your blog. Reading back over everything, I continually cringed at the horrendous typos prevalent throughout, but hopefully I can get everything looking good.
Thanks for the interest, and Hail the Overlord!

Looks like you had a lot of fun there, Fantum. Thanks for humoring a bunch of perfect strangers; I look forward to having fun, too.

Yay for cuttlefishism!

Without apology I say no, I am not interested in another imaginary interpretation of the real world. Even though it could be so beguilingly tentacled and mesmeriseably changeable if it were Cuttlefish-like, it would still be the same old tired, poorly imagined, made up shit. History shows that we are lousy at alternative realities. They come, they go, they are incorrectly remembered and retold. Except for some science fiction. Sometimes science fiction comes close but there is always a critical factor missing.
I cannot imagine why people decide that this reality is not sufficient. It’s all I can handle! I’m usually busy trying to catch up! Perhaps similar experience puts some people off?
I think this universe, unencumbered by magic or magical personalities is just fine, thank you.

Addendum: Not trying to be disagreeable on this subject. Lately I have had a mighty struggle with people who actually do have an alternate reality. It didn’t end pleasantly for me. Well, it did end pleasantly to the extent that the episode is in fact ended even though I’ll be eating the cost for a while to come.
On further reflection, I think I could tolerate people tolerating Cuttlefishism. I do, to some extent, and willingly! because Cuttle is so tentacled and mesmerizing.
