Tethys says March 24, 2024 at 11:12 am Wow, your Mom is an amazing artist with icing. Is that a luck pig, or is the shamrock just a decorative element?
Tethys says March 24, 2024 at 6:44 pm Charly, Thank you for the reply. The concept of the Glücksschwein is a very old tradition, though I didn’t realize it was medieval. https://www.leidenmedievalistsblog.nl/articles/lucky-pigs-and-protective-boars-the-medieval-origins-of-the-gluecksschwein I think those gingerbread houses are truly something out of a fairytale, and I especially love the decorated trees. They are so intricate, and the decorated marzipan tree ornament on the trees is delightful. Krásný!
