I took a couple days off and worked slowly on the high-intensity parts like re-shaping the top curve. I measured and the sawz-all was giving me about 3″/minute and my forearms and hands would start cramping after about 15 minutes. All in all, it was not too bad (good grip strength exercise!) but it was hardly what I would call “fun.”
Plan B, it was.

Schedules have been squishing around, here. Q was planning on showing up next week but was free now, so he arrived last night. I had a beer and he fried some fungus [chicken of the woods] he picked up in Moshannon state park and we schemed a bit. Having had the experience of nearly crapping myself to death after eating a wild mushroom, I had some heat and eat curry and rice while I watched him prepare his doom.

Yesterday was an exhausting slog. But I survived and succeeded.
No, I’m not referring to proto-fascist conspiracy theorists. This is much more cheerful. I’ve been posting too much about cops beating the shit out of people so maybe it’s time to focus on something a bit less miserable.
I had not heard of this thing, before, but apparently it’s a new fad: cake that looks like non-cake.
I was a bit unsure about whether to post this, because I’m not doing much that’s interesting, except following other people’s recipes, mostly. But there are perhaps a few things worth noting.
