I’ve always wanted to visit France, I guess I’m getting a taste of it today. I went for my morning walk — big mistake. It’s cloudy and gray, but temperatures are climbing into the mid-30°C range, and humidity is sky high. I walked into a coffeeshop with AC, and the windows were opaque sheets of condensation. The mosquitos realized I was loose in nature and attacked me in swarms on the way home.
Dinner tonight will be served cold: iced smoothies. That will be our reward for finally hooking up the window AC unit in our bedroom.

We’ve just finished a spell of weather like that in England. You have my sympathy.
My daughter-in-law is in France with the 2 grand spawn (my son couldn’t go due to obligations with working on his second masters). Her dad is an engineer and he put in some kind of air system several years ago (heat pump? IDK), and automatic shutters that close when the outside temps reach undesirable levels.
Smoothies are awesome. Any tips for making them? We’ve been having them for breakfast 3 to 4 times a week for a couple of months. I use avocado and spinach and protein powder, among other things.
That weather will be arriving in the northeastern USA (where I am) soon. Glad I put the air conditioners in the windows.
So an average Queensland summer. That being said, I’d wilt in that weather as well.

Different type of drink but as kids we used to make egg flip using a couple of scoops of ice cream plus an egg (or was it two?), vanilla essence and then blending together with egg beaters if memory serves.
Also “spiders” a drink made of ice cream added to or with soda / lemonade poured over it which then caused the icecream to fizz away madly making for an intresting, fun, taste and beverage.
