Doubt the spider would be full of joy over a wrecked web.

My favourite part of spring is seeing people across the street walk into spider webs. One moment they’re fine, and the next moment they’re screaming and waving their arms everywhere. You don’t know if you saw someone walk into a spider’s web or just suddenly go nuts.
I must be a lot more emotionally-stable than I tend to recognize.

Favorite part is walking into spider webs? No Doubt.

There is a cedar hedge down one side of my house, about six feet from the wall. One day some years ago, I walked around the corner and found four or five large webs stretched across the gap, each occupied by a proportionately large spider. As I recall, it was a dewy morning, which made the webs quite visible — which was good, as otherwise I might have just blithely walked down the path. There would have been screaming.

Wow.
