That reminds me, I was thinking that maybe we need a Discuss: Spiders channel for people who want to talk about them and other arachnids.

I’ve been rescuing a lot of spiders this spring from my bathtub, not sure why they find it attractive. I usually put them in a corner of the kitchen and hope they find a discreet place to nest. When the weather gets warmer they’ll go outside.

@2 They fall in and they can’t climb up the smooth surface of the bath tub ,ah so much for one day taking over the world .

@christoph, same here. What is it about a wide open space that’s comparatively huge for a spider?! In the wild, had they done that, they’d be swiftly eaten.
Laughably, when the love-hate came out of his mouth, I immediately thought of the DoD Remedy ticketing system, which I’ve long had a hate-hate relationship with. I hate it, it hates me, we get along quite interestingly.
If mutual misery is interesting.
I bend it to my will, it bends me over its digital knee. I remind it that digits don’t have knees, it crashes. Rinse, repeat.

@wzrd1, #4: Right-it’s not logical to get into something you can’t get out of. Apart from that, spiders seem to be logical.
I searched on “DoD Remedy Ticketing System” and was rewarded with a bunch of ads wanting to sell me a ticketing system. Can you tell us what it is? Thanks!
We used a ticketing system at my last employer to request another group to do work. For example if you moved to a new project and needed access to that project’s data space, you wrote a ticket requesting such to the IT department. Rather than going to the local IT person and asking them in person.
