Let’s see…diminishing the horrors of the Holocaust and Stalin’s purges, equating women’s health care and autonomy with Naziism, neglecting to mention that most abortions are spontaneous “acts of God”…you know, probably the least stupid thing in this cartoon was advocating the useless response of prayer to something Ham claims is mass murder.
Welp, I guess that means he’s going to get rewarded with a speaking gig at a major atheist/skeptic conference now.
Apart from the fact that in his worldview the greatest murderer by orders of magnitude is his own god, i also find it rather interesting that he is promoting a pagan depiction of Death. Bad christian…bad!
Christian? No fucking way. He belongs to some weird non-Christian, anti-Bible cult. I know that because the Bible is VERY FUCKING SPECIFIC as to the definition of when life begins, and that abortions don’t count as deaths.
at least he advocates the useless response of prayer, over a more “active” response, as some others have taken. I just can’t stop inferring that he was tacitly implying the more active response (like the response to the other two figures depicted)
The other day I was passed by a minvan with a bumper sticker on it stating “ABORTION IS HOMICIDE.”
If they really think that’s true, then seems to me a lot of law follows from that. While I like to think that no, the folks who carefully placed that sticker wouldn’t really want to take all women who’ve had abortions and put them on death row, I’m not all that sure about that. Seems a rather uncompromising position.

I agree with Dreaming of an Atheistic Newtopia, and Hannibal Lecter in the ’80’s movie, Manhunter, when he said “God is the champ [at killing].” Wouldnt their god be responsible for every miscarriage, which are abortions after all? God’s the champ.

Not every person who commits a homicide ends up on death row. That said, I had this conversation, back on Talk Rats, ages ago. Pinned down a person who said that women who get an abortion should be prosecuted, and I wanted specific jail times. One abortion? 10 to 20 years (20 year sentence, possible recommendation for shorter, if circumstance judged to warrant so), more than one abortion? Life sentence. Abortion provider? Death sentence.
I would like to rant a bit:
The advantages of contraception and early-term abortion are so great that opposing them is moral depravity. Fatal complications in pregnancy, ZIKA virus and other things causing severe birth defects and infant mortality mean nothing to some of those moral degenerates (such as the one in U.S. Congress).
Contraception, abortion and publicly funded health care would protect life. Banning contraception and abortion will destroy life by taking effective agency and control over one’s life away.
Ahhh, but the Atheist Dudebros are different. They fully support a woman getting an abortion whenever they themselves approve of it.
Gilliel, IIRC Atheist Dudebros not only support, but insist, on a woman getting an abortion under such circumstances. (I recall Dawkins objecting to women knowingly giving birth to children with Down’s Syndrome.)
