In most excellent cephalopod news, here in Washington, the state Wildlife Commission voted unanimously to ban the taking of the Giant Pacific Octopus in a bunch of locations. I’m hopeful that they’ll extend the ban to all locations in Washington.
definitely in the running for weirdest chordate.
Ours is a pretty diverse phylum, morphoplogically I mean, as phyla go.
