Buy stuff.

I don’t know about this…here’s Rebecca Watson flogging merchandise, and she pushes all this SGU stuff first, and ends with the new Skepchick t-shirt last, and just kind of tosses in the spectacular Chibi PZ Tee and the gloriously intimidating Pharyngula travel mug in the middle. What’s with all this secondary frippery surrounding the most important stuff, my merch?

I may have to have a little talk with her about priorities. Nobody listens to Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe anymore, do they? And why would anyone wear a Skepchick shirt when they could have a cute and adorable cartoon me on their chest?

Doesn’t Prof. Myers know that saying anything critical of Rebecca Watson is asked to be slimed?

  2. Sili says

Well, I listen still, but I also rant and yell when they go on about some news item instead of bothering with looking for some facts.

Most often when about language – ten seconds on Google would have found Mark Liberman debunking the Out Of Africa crap article a year ago – but physics and engineering tends to unhinge them as well.

Well, it’s not as if she’s selling Rebecca’s Patented Cock-Severing Shears or anything.

    Those. Would. Be. Awesome.

I’d buy that. And cut up chicken with ’em. …What?

Um…I’d buy those. I need a new pair of kitchen shears. Also, I did buy stuff!

I would be oh, so very happy to own a spectacular Chibi PZ Tee! I would ask for it for my birthday, and have a really good chance of getting it…

…if only it were available in my size.

    But it’s not.

This makes me oh, so very sad.

But I don’t even use shears anymore! I use a rubberband. I’m not a monster.

Are they patented? I don’t want to plop down my hard earned cash for a bunch of so-called cock-severing bands that clearly came off of broccoli bunches and lobster claws.

people shouldn’t forget to throw a mountain of support towards Chris Johnson’s A Better Life atheist photo book project, which is in its final five days of fundraising.

Done, in my defence, I had never heard of this until today

  10. says

@Cicely What size are you? Our printer has just started carrying larger plus sizes so it’s possible if there’s a reorder we could get one in 3x or maybe 4x.

Funny.I always thought the secret satanic pagan atheist feminist rituals were performed using a golden sickle. Does this mean I’ve been doing it wrong?

I can’t wait to get my Chibi PZ T!

Also, remember that picture someone did of PZ and he was on some kind of cool evil tentacle throne chair thing? That would be a cool shirt.

  13. MG Myers says

Now I’m going to have to order a Chibi PZ Tee and Pharyngula travel mug! Awesome!

  14. Part-Time Insomniac, Zombie Porcupine Nox Arcana Fan says

Hmm . . . I wonder if I’d get in trouble for carrying that mug to work. I can always say it’s a science blog I enjoy reading, nothing about TET. Eh, screw it, I’ll order one, beats the hell outta rushing to make tea or hot cocoa at work every morning. Or coffee for that matter.

–I dunno. When I think about the ‘cock’, severing shears don’t come to mind (however, when I think about ‘cock severing shears’ Lorena Bobbit pops up). YMMV.

  17. cicely, Shameful & Imprudent says

@rebeccawatson: I usually take a unisex 3X. (I don’t like the shorty little sleeves that the women’s tees seem to favor.) It would be so completely awesome to have one!

The shears will take care of that.

id do unspeakable things for a ceramic pharangulated mug to be made available. Even…

    Or Banana Peelers.

  22. says

@Cicely: OK, the next time I’m going to place a reorder for a Pharyngula tee (no promises on when that’ll be), I’ll ask PZ to post or Tweet about it and anyone who wants a special size can put in for one. Sound good?

  23. cicely, Shameful & Imprudent says

@rebeccawatson: That would be most excellent, and deeply appreciated; I will begin saving up for it immediately!

Where can I get some of these?

    Do they ship to Canada?
