Gosh, even Sarah Palin got in on it. I wouldn’t have thought she’d know who Dawkins is.
Mr. Dawkins, I’d let you meet my son if you promised to open your mind, your eyes, and your heart to a unique kind of absolute beauty. But, in my request for you to be tolerant, I’d have to warn Trig he must be tolerant, too, because he may superficially look at you as kind of awkward. I’ll make sure he’s polite, though!
Love,
Sarah Palin & family
It would be interesting if he actually took her up on it.

…then they could have scones and tea and mull over that “Ignorant Know-Nothing Bigot” comment. 😛
Ichthyic says
frankly, I doubt I could stomach anything while trying to converse with Sarah Palin.
NateHevens. He who hates straight, white, cis-gendered, able-bodied men (not really) says
I actually agree with Sarah Palin?!?
Thanks, Richard Dawkins! This is how bad you’ve gotten… that fucking Sarah Palin has more to say than you. What the actual fuck?
I actually want Richard to take it up with her… and have it filmed. But they would both have to agree not to talk about God or atheism or religion in it.

The post title provided me a tittle of amusement once I saw the quotation.
Konradius says
Wow…
Dawkins managed to make SP look both smart AND social?!?!
I’ll never think I’ve seen it all again…
Athywren says
Ok, who pulled me through into this parallel universe? Own up?
I do not like this universe. It scares and confuses me.

As Konradius pointed out, when you say something so dumb you make Sarah Palin look like a smarter and better person than you, it should make you pause and think.
But then pausing and thinking before tweeting is not one of Dawkins’ strengths.
anthrosciguy says
Edit: and Nate and others, not just Konradius. That’s why I rarely tweet. 🙂
Trebuchet says
Palin doesn’t have to know who Dawkins is. She has “people” to do that for her.
Dave Ricks says
First I read Trebuchet’s #10 as a comment about Sarah Palin and a political machine. Then I thought about the Twitterspace as a battlespace. And I realized Palin gets her direction from people who learned from Sun Tzu’s The Art of War versus Dawkins who seems to learn on his own from Monty Python’s self defense against fresh fruit. Ironically Dawkins needs to learn how one thing leads to another.
