In a Sunday interview with Fox News host Chris Wallace, he revealed that he had requested an extension from the federal government. In response, officials offered a week-long deadline “if the governor admits publicly that their language regarding bathrooms does in fact discriminate.”
“I’m not going to publicly announce that something discriminates,” McCrory said, continuing, “there is no clear definition of gender identity. It is the federal government being a bully.”
Everyone’s a bully except for you, right, Pat?

Wallace questioned McCrory’s classification of the federal government’s response to HB 2 as “overreach,” comparing the debate to bathrooms segregated by race.
“We can definitely define the race of people. It’s very hard to define transgender or gender identity,” McCrory responded.
It is? How about a person’s gender being what they say it is? Problem solved. I’m getting flashbacks to when people used to grouse and complain that you couldn’t tell men and women apart because of those damn dirty hippies and that long hair, oh my.

I think all the irony meters in the world shattered upon McCrory’s statements. He accused the feds of attempting to “bully” him and of not giving him enough time to properly respond. This after the NC legislature called a special session to enact and pass the discriminatory law, which he signed, all within a 12-hour period. They did this because they were perturbed at Charlotte’s passage of an anti-discrimination ordinance and wanted to exert their authority. How much more blatant lack of self-awareness could he have displayed?

I think he doesn’t have the slightest fucking clue as to how bigoted he is. Shit just keeps falling out of his mouth, and he wonders why people get upset.

McCrory is taking a lot of well-deserved heat for signing the law. The legislature should be sharing that heat. They have vowed that they will not back down. It is deadly game of chicken that they think they have a chance of winning. The losers in the inevitable head-on collision are the citizens of the state, and specifically students in the UNC system. The idiot legislators just don’t see themselves as the modern iteration of George Wallace, but in fact that is exactly what they are. They are standing in the doorway to try to prevent equal rights from being bestowed upon a minority segment of society.

Being good Christians the NC repubs may see this as a can’t lose situation. If they get the Feds to back down, of course they win. If the Feds make them rescind the law, the will be better Christians because they have become martyrs to the Feds and eeevull LGBT culture.

It becomes incredibly easy if you start listening to people who are telling you what their gender identity is.
What a shithead.

Saad:
Or just not worrying about it in the first place.

With what? A melanin-o-meter?
blf says
Instead of measuring a dubious concept, how about a shite-for-brains meter, to measure vacuous stooopidity?
