I feel that listening to a semi-dramatic reading of a Trump indictment gives me a mental distance that allows me to appreciate the language and the argument as I hear it.
MSNBC host Ali Velshi reads Jack Smith’s latest: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-2020-election-indictment-read-by-ali-velshi/id1679657705?i=1000623147258
I know that a lot of smart people worked very hard to produce those 45 pages.

there is sometimes some question of whether or not trump believes his own lies. that might be true of some lies sometimes, but this indictment alone shows numerous examples of him having no illusions about what he was doing. “you’re too honest” to pence, what a thing to get caught on record with. good times.

Words don’t have meanings, they’re just flappy mouth noises to prove which tribe you’re in.

I read the indictment, which clearly lays out the facts with dates and quotes from the co-conspirators. Jack Smith can easily prove that Cheeto knew he lost, and had planned to contest his loss long before November.
Best Quote from the document, which is either Bannon or Miller discussing the fake electors scheme.
“conspiracy bullshit beamed down from the mothership.” .

Yup. He not only knew he had lost, he knew he was going to lose. It sounds like he got increasingly desperate and kept listening to more and more extreme yes-men.
It’s all fascinating. One implication is that, basically, tons of people in Trump’s circle and the republican party knew what was going on. They all knew they were going to lose and were just waiting around to see how crazy shit got.

Yeah, that was a good one. I also liked the white house attorney’s “you’re going to need some really good defense lawyers.”
