… And fire up the “Streisand Effect.” A Canadian cartoonist was fired for a cartoon of Donald Trump.
I love how CNN decides to be the tasteful and responsible media by cropping the cartoon so that it’s not going to make any Trump fans rush to the fainting-couch.
Here’s the whole cartoon. By the way, it was actually hard to find this on Google image search, which makes me wonder how “viral” it was. I’d expect it to be all over the place, like the “Mohammed” cartoons were, giving a lot of newspapers a nail-biting choice as to whether they valued theirIt’s inaccurate.
- Trump would never get out of his golf cart unless he had to
- Trump would never start a sentence with “do you mind …” he’d just play through
- Trump is a germaphobe and would never get that close to a real dead person
I also think it underplays how little of a shit Trump gives. This portrays him as uncaring, but he’s not – he’s outright malicious.

Yes, I agree. This cartoon would benefit from Trump having an evil smile.
The text could also be changed to something more vicious, for example: “Two dead, more to kill. That will teach them not to ask for soap and toothbrushes.”

Thanks for posting this. I had read the article, but didn’t want to sift through the inevitable sewage I would come across trying to find it.
I’m sorta surprised that he was fired over this.

It’s so mild, it’s ridiculous he was fired for this, they want to try reading some British cartoonists, like Steve Bell for accurate and ceertainly offensive to the victim cartooning. He made one mimister into a pimple on the PM, he always depicted John Major wearing y-fronts over his trousers, he depicts Trump with a toilet seat on the top of his head and with very very very small hands.

There was definitely some “bobbing for sewage” required.
It’s good that I like sewage.

I was thinking about “how to make it worse” and the best I could come up with was tire-tracks from the golf cart across the corpses.

I like this one.

Jazzlet @3: I see nothing mild about it. It captures the essential inhumanity of Trump and his minions, and couldn’t be improved on by adding anything (hey, why not show Trump with fangs!). I love Steve Bell, but sometimes the deft use of a scalpel is as effective as a sledgehammer.

The Irvings have never been known as as wide–eyed liberals. Was it daddy or grandpa who was a fascist tyrant? I have a problem keeping them apart.
