The current high-levels of anti-Muslim sentiment in the US have resulted in Muslims being targeted for attacks. The most visible symbols of Islam are of course the mosques and Muslim women who wear black coverings of the face and body or men who pray in groups in the distinctive prostrate position.

There comes a time when, on some particular issue, I start to feel that I have heard and said all that I really care to on that subject, have formed a pretty firm opinion about it, and am no longer really interested in debating its merits much more since I am unlikely to learn anything new. The only reason to further engage with the question is to challenge the propagation of ideas one thinks are wrong and harmful.

Yesterday I wrote about how the state capital building in Florida does not have any Christian symbols such as a nativity during the holiday season, featuring instead a menorah, and a Gay Pride Festivus pole, with a Flying Spaghetti Monster display also possible.

If you go to the state capital rotunda in Florida during the holiday season, you will find a Gay Pride aluminum Festivus pole, a nine-foot menorah, and possibly something that commemorates the Flying Spaghetti Monster. What you will not see is a nativity scene with the infant Jesus or any other scene symbolizing Christianity.

An Ohio man who set up a nativity scene featuring zombie versions of Mary, Joseph, the infant Jesus, wise men (and possibly zombie versions of the livestock assuming one can have zombie animals of which I am not sure, since I am not fully abreast of zombiana) has been told by the local authorities to take it down, saying it violates zoning laws.

The fastest growing religion group in Iceland is Zuism, that has already outstripped the number of Muslims in that country. What is Zuism?
Zuism is based on ancient Sumeran texts and the Sumeran religion is one of the world’s oldest religions, believed to be the basis of the world’s religions. It survived for instance in the mythologies and religions of ancient cultures such as the Babylonians, Assyrians, Hurrians, Akkadians, Egyptians, Romans and other culture groups.
