Via Jonathan Turley, I learned that in Morocco, the penal code exempts a man from punishment for rape if he agrees to marry the victim! [Read more…]
You have to hand it to the Catholic Church. In their obsession with upholding their antiquated doctrines, they are willing to risk becoming even more irrelevant in this modern age. Their opposition to equal rights for homosexuals is long-standing and well known. What is truly surprising are recent developments in the US where they have chosen to go to the mat in vociferously opposing contraceptive services to women, a losing battle if there ever was one. The Catholic church has this weird, one might say ghoulish, practice of preserving and displaying in churches the body parts of saints. Some believers ascribe miraculous powers to these relics.
Yesterday a bizarre robbery occurred in Dublin, Ireland in which thieves broke into a cathedral and [Read more…]
I have to say that Rick Santorum is the most interesting candidate, psychologically speaking, in the presidential race. And this is in the face of stiff competition from Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, and Newt Gingrich, all of whom would make fascinating studies of deluded thinking.
One thing that you must concede in favor of Santorum is that when it comes to his anti-women, anti-sex, anti-contraception, anti-gay, anti-secular agenda, he is [Read more…]
