It turns out that one of the people who stormed the US Capitol on January 6th and has also been arrested is a member of the Oath Keepers who played the role of Judas in the touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Stephen Colbert’s show thinks that his final song in the film version may need some changes.

So what?
So now you’re not only against God and his anointed president, but method acting too! Sheesh! Is nothing sacred any more?
Actually, in the Christian mythology, Judas should be venerated. Obviously.
Had he not done what he did, Jesus would not have been crucified and saved everyone from their sins. So he made it all possible.
And, I mean, God/Jesus is/was omniscient and whatnot, so it/he/they damn well knew exactly what was going to happen even before Judas became a disciple of the godman.
