I admit that I find very funny jokes that other people only groan at. I have been making them all my life and the strip below is exactly the kind of joke that appeals to me. It is amazing that I have not suffered the same fate as Pig and been ostracized by my family and friends.

We all know the old saying: The punnishment will continue until morale improves.

Your family and friends are all baristas?
Crip Dyke, Right Reverend Feminist FuckToy of Death & Her Handmaiden says
It’s not a great pun unless someone within earshot considers braining you with a handy kitchen implement.
mastmaker says
I am exactly the same, Mano. And I have been (somewhat) ostracized by friends and family. I can sometimes HEAR the groans!
Who Cares says
All puns are rated in groans, good ones get 6+ out of 5.
John Morales says
I get the intention, but it doesn’t work for me — it’s cappuccino, not cappaccino.
John Morales says
[To me, as a native Spanish speaker, in English ‘pun’ sounds like ‘pan’; ‘put’ sounds like ‘put’ but ‘but’ sounds like ‘bat’]
Silentbob says
Commonly known as Dad jokes -- jokes so corny, the sheer corniness makes them funny (ymmv).
Q: What’s the best time to see the dentist?…
Silentbob says
A: At tooth hurty.

Have American dads such a lame sense of humour?
As I’m in a good mood today I have a visual pun for MS. As it only works in Dutch he’ll need to look up the Dutch translations of “pear” first (Wikipedia will do). Then he must know that “light bulb” not only can be translated as “gloeilamp”, but also as “peer”.

Do I hear him groan now?
Holms says
Fell flat for me. At the question about “the star of Godfather 2” I was wondering who the star was because I’ve not seen it. And then when Pacino was mentioned, I was wondering if he has brothers at all, because I don’t know what family he has.
John Morales says
Holms, I got that bit (as I noted); notice the use of the future conditional ‘would’: if he had a brother with that first name, then he would be called that. That does not depend on whether or not he has brothers.
