Addressing the architects and implementers of this cruel policy, cartoonist Jen Sorensen invokes the spirit of Joseph Welch and his immortal words to senator Joe McCarthy, “Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?” If those who support this policy were honest, they would have to answer ‘yes’. But since they are not, they won’t.

    Still waiting for all the 2nd amendment nuts who want guns “in case the government gets repressive” to stand up and be counted. (Actually it seems like a lot of them are on the other side)

    How about this irony:

    This while the administration is perpetrating one of the most vile cases of human rights violations by jailing babies.

    Not to mention shooting black men for no reason, taking away people’s healthcare, etc., etc., etc.

    johnson catman: So, ironically, it’s perfectly appropriate for the US to have withdrawn from the Human Rights Council.

    DonDueed @4: I was speaking of their accusations of other countries violations of human rights while they themselves are plenty guilty. I agree that the US should not be judging anyone on human rights violations.
