Satan is on a roll

A money-grubbing preacher of a megachurch (is that redundant?) called the World Changers Church International with the highly appropriate name of Creflo Dollar beseeched his congregation to donate generously so that he could purchase a new luxury private jet that costs $65 million to replace the one he already has. The new plane is a Gulfstream G650, a model that has billionaires waiting in line to purchase, and no self-respecting man of god would be seen dead without one.

All Dollar was asking for was 200,000 people to donate $300 each. But after that appeal received ridicule on social media, the page promoting donations was removed and Dollar blamed devils for thwarting his plans to get suitably godly transportation. Did I mention that this holy man was arrested on battery charges in 2012 for assaulting his 15-year old daughter? He says that the devil was behind that too. Why is Satan being so mean to the almighty Dollar?

And then we have the case of gay-hating bakers in Oregon who said they would not bake a cake for a gay couple, resulting in a complaint being filed with Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries that ruled that they were in violation of Oregon’s anti-discrimination laws and ordered them to pay a fine. So the bakers did what other gay-hating, god-loving people do nowadays, they complained that their religious freedoms were being infringed upon and that they were being persecuted for being Christians and they appealed to fellow bigots for donations, because this has turned out to be a profitable move for people like them since there is nothing like Christians in the US claiming that they are victims for their fellow believers to immediately reach for their checkbooks.

Unfortunately for them, GoFundMe pulled the plug on their money-raising drive because their rules do not allow fundraising to pay for violations of the law. So whom did the bakers blame for this act by GoFundMe? Why Satan of course!

How come Satan seems to be winning in these battles affecting the godly? Is god doing a remake of the Job story?

[Insert standard “mysterious ways” apologetics here.]

Yeah, and Jesus is on toast. What’s with these metaphysical beings and bread products?
