Re: The beginning of the segment.
The conservative Christians’ problem is that they weren’t clear what they want. They don’t really want film versions of actual stories from the Bible. What they want are thinly veiled propaganda for their preferred political and social order.
Chiroptera, that’s a very perceptive comment.
Maybe if they did actual, true-to-the-times-dark-skinned Jesus, these people would be more satisfied? (of course she wouldn’t be gawking at black Jesus -- never!)
OT Bible stories are horribly brutal and violent. Didn’t they read their Bibles?
