Via The Digital Cuttlefish I found a video that Bill O’Reilly’s show shot of the Reason Rally. It is a bit disjointed with some weird cross-cutting but not too bad. The people they interviewed were pretty articulate and gave a good account of themselves. This means that either O’Reilly’s team did not go too far out of its way to selectively edit the footage to make the rallyers look bad or that they simply were not able to get video to allow them to portray atheists as crazy people.

The main objection that I have seen to the Reason Rally is the speech by Richard Dawkins in which he suggested that we ought to ridicule religion after many people, before the rally, stated that the point was not to make fun of anybody.
Well-- it’s religion. Religious people believe some really goofy stuff and then get all bent when people make fun of their goofy beliefs.
I think that the only real purpose religion serves is that it is a great object of ridicule. Other than that it’s worthless.

…OR, what seems perfectly normal to atheists like you and me is perceived as both bad and crazy to the audience of Fox News.

I don’t understand, is Jesse Watters supposed to be their humor guy? As far as I can tell his schtick is to walk around being a smug asshole
