I just heard that the Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that Trump will not be allowed on the ballot because of the 14th Ammendment.
Now on to the U.S. Supreme Court. There’s an outside chance that the Colorado decision might be upheld, but I’m not at all confident about that. In any event, it’ll be fun to see what sort of hoops the Republican justices jump through to overturn Colorado.

Well, that’s news that restores your faith in government. 🙂

IANA mind reader, but I suspect more than one of the
reactionaryconservative justices really don’t want the orange greaseball to get his hands onto the reins of government again. Also, if by some chance Nikki Haley got the nomination, she might well beat Biden. In spite of what some polls say today, I think TFG’s support peaked in 2020 so I think a Biden/Drumpf election would go to Biden, other matchups might be tougher for the Dems.
If the conservative SCOTUS justices who aren’t raving lunatics see it this way as well, they may see sidelining Valdemort as the best chance for a GOP win.

I am disappointed in the CO SC. They put an automatic Trump card in their 300+ page document. An automatic stay of their discission through Jan. 4, 2024, that becomes permanent if an appeal is filed. This lets SCOTUS off the hook because they don’t have to do anything at all, just let the appeal, which I think has already been submitted, sit there unanswered.

I’m looking forward to the part of states rights seeking federal protections.
