    Leviticus 20
10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Those married men who went to Epstein’s private island on the Lolita Express to abuse young girls need to be dealt with according to God’s statutes.

22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them:

PZ, you’re not in the Epstein files because you’re too young!
Or not young enough, if female.
    Too poor also, too.

You’re forgetting the Xian ‘Get Out Of Stoning’ Monopoly card. If the law of the Lard doesn’t mention te gayz, even cryptically, you may ignore it as you see fit. See: shellfish, beard trimming, mixed fabrics, etc, etc, etc.

I’m in there. The Epsteins were claiming something about the power of my mind to distinguish conspiracy theories.

It’s weird — they’re usually after my eyeballs.

I’m not in South Carolina either, and happy for it.

South Carolina Tried to Pass a Bill Jailing Women for Abortion. No Republican Voted Against It.

Abortion was back in the news this week when South Carolina legislators debated what would be the most stringent abortion law in the nation. The bill would have banned abortion from the moment a pregnancy is “clinically diagnosable”—a term used to ensure the bill wouldn’t sweep in contraceptives or IVF. The law would have subjected women who have abortions to prison sentences of up to 30 years; criminalized the act of providing information about how to get an abortion, even in another state; allowed family members to sue women who had abortions; and eliminated exceptions for rape and incest.

Yet that god of yours did exactly fuck all when it happened. So, he was either ok with it of he’s completely useless. Which one is it?

[macallan, you misapprehended cheerfulcharlie’s sardonicism deadpan mockery by quotation, didn’t ya?

It was deadpan satire, not literal theology. I am familiar with their posting history]

    @10.
    Nothing unusual there.
Red states routinely consider bills making abortion equal to First Degree murder. Which makes abortion into a potential death penalty crime.
If an embryo or fetus is a legal person, the same as a newborn baby or adult, then that becomes possible.

This year 8 of the usual fascist Red states are considering it including Texas, Idaho, Oklahoma, and North Dakota.
It is already a death penalty offense in Georgia.

The GOP and the fundie xians really get off on killing people. They can’t wait until the first woman is executed for…abortion.
It is a power thing. Nothing shows how much power you have like killing people in public on TV. That they are women is just an extra bonus, legalized homicidal misogyny.

GOP lawmakers push to charge women with homicide for seeking abortions
‘Fetal personhood’ bills would grant fetuses, embryos the same rights as newborns.

As state legislative sessions grind on, conservative lawmakers have filed a new batch of bills that would grant legal rights to fetuses and fertilized embryos.

Lawmakers in at least eight states — Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas — have considered bills to go even further, to punish women who seek abortions.

Most of these states have already banned abortion. But new criminalization bills would allow women to face homicide charges for obtaining abortions.

    Nope.

Aussie, poor and definitley not in Epstein’s cirles. As noted already in previous thread here Rebecca Watson is – but for the right reasons in her case. .

Stevo, no one could ever accuse you of not being as sharp as a marshmallow.

    1) A search for “beholder” at PZ’s link returns a reference to the difference between conspiracy theories being in the mind of the beholder. That’s the joke.

    2) Beauty in in the eye of the beholder is a common saying. That’s the other joke.

    3) Do you think by next year you’ll be able to manage to stop bullying the same commenter over and over again in every single thread for not supporting genocide?

  12. StevoR says

@ ^ Silentbob : Will you agree to leave John Morales alone next year and, hey, maybe even actually answer my questions for ya?

I’ve explained what I’m doing with our Trump enabling tankie troll here :

    https://proxy.freethought.online/pharyngula/2025/11/10/and-nothing-was-accomplished/comment-page-1/#comment-2283778

Including why. You have a problem with that?

As I’ve asked many times before without your provision of any answer – why do you keep supporting that Trump-helping troll?

What part of there were only TWO people who were ever going to get elected last year and “Beholder” did what they could help Trump win don’t you get?

As you know, it isn’t about “not supporting genocide” which is something Trump whole-heartedly does – &not only in Gaza – whereas Biden and Harris opposed with the Democratic party calling for restraint from Israel, criticising Netanyahu, sanctioning extremist settlers & withholding weapons from Israel.. Steps that Trump revoked and has NOT done as we fucking well warned you pre-election.

  13. StevoR says

PS. Another question Silentbob & our tankie trumpy troll “beholder” won’t answer here :

Has Trump been better or worse for the Gazans than Biden / Kamala Harris would have been?

Bet they won’t answer but, of course, we already know what the answer is and that those were the two and ONLY two options actually on offer as POTUS last year.

  14. StevoR says

PPS. This is the vision for Gaza that Trump wants – and “beholder” de facto, in reality, in practice voted & argued for despite his bullshit about supposedly caring for Palestinians otherwise :

Oh and Putin supporting science denier Stein helped make this possible too. As most of us already know but seems some still need their noses rubbed in it. Metaphorically speaking.

Also pretty close to what Netanyahu is after too. Maybe minus the Trump statues and USoA control bit but hey.. That’s what the anti-Biden-Harris mob have ultimately whether deliberately choosing so or not got us.

  15. StevoR says

Versus the only actual alternative for POTUS here :

    Yt short.

    Plus :

Vice-President Kamala Harris has condemned the loss of civilian life in an Israeli air strike against a school building in Gaza on Saturday.

More than 70 people were killed at the building which sheltered displaced Palestinians, the director of a hospital has told the BBC.

Ms Harris said “far too many” civilians had been killed “yet again” and reiterated calls for a hostage deal and a ceasefire, echoing comments made by the White House.

In addition to – among more :

Vice President Kamala Harris called for the Palestinian people to be able to “realize their right to dignity, security, freedom and self-determination” while reiterating her support for a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas during her remarks here Thursday at the Democratic National Convention.

Harris said that as president, she would maintain the US alliance with Israel and “ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself.” She condemned the October 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas but also acknowledged the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel’s military operation in the enclave.

“What has happened in Gaza over the past 10 months is devastating. So many innocent lives lost. Desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety over and over again. The scale of suffering is heartbreaking,” she said. “President Biden and I are working to end this war such that Israel is secure, the hostages are released, the suffering in Gaza ends and the Palestinian people can realize their right to dignity, security, freedom and self-determination.”

More than 40,000 people have been killed Gaza since October 7, according to the local health ministry.
