He was dressed in every red flag

Look at this guy. Phillip Fisher Jr.’s CV is like his destiny was predestined.

• Pastor

• Republican ward leader

• Trump supporter

• Campaigner for Mehmet Oz

• Faith coordinator for Moms for Liberty

Are you surprised by this little revelation?

Fisher was convicted in 2012 for aggravated sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy, with the charging documents saying that Fisher, then 25, engaged and oral and anal sex with the boy.

It’s as if extremist right-wing groups are magnets for pedophiles.

He repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and called his conviction “one blip” in his background. He blamed it all on a dispute about his trying to break away from the LaRouche organization, and said the 14-year-old boy and his parents were part of that group.

“One blip.” He has a spotless record, except for that one time he put his penis in a 14 year old boy. Got it.

Besides, he was framed.

“It was a political situation that happened between me and Lyndon LaRouche,” Fisher said. “It was a member of his camp, his party, that made the accusation. They pushed it through. It was really a railroad job.”

Ew, ick. He was a LaRouchie? Unforgivable.

Moms for Liberty really needs to vet their volunteers more thoroughly.

    “Blip”
    “Railroad job”

Non-literal language is like smelling blood in the water and sharks to me here now. Unstated bad behavior, unstated claims of false conviction. We are political creatures and this is also political behavior. Politics is concern for the group.

And then the organization pretends to care about children while being concerned with controlling what other people’s children are exposed to. Concern for the group based on moral panic phantoms that scape goat many for other social predators. Like actual groomers of children that result in behavior like Trump’s sexualization of his daughter. And sex predators in churches that the same people don’t mention.

I was just wondering if LaRouchies still existed, and if old Lyndon was still alive…

In answer to Akira: Once upon a time Lyndon LaRouche was a loony doctrinaire Communist (maybe or maybe not Stalinist), but sometime in the 1960s or early ’70s he made a very sudden turnaround and became a hyper-patriotic, very technocratic, quasi-fascist, and started spouting some really off-the-wall conspiracy theories, most notably that the Queen was running the entire pan-American drug trade and using it to destroy America, just ‘cuz America is so wunnerful everyone else has to destroy us donchaknow.

It has long been suspected that the LaRouchies are a wholly-owned COINTELPRO-style front, funded by the FBI, for the purpose of attracting potentially dangerous loony troublemakers and keeping them in a sort of playpen where they’d be harmless and under observation.

If they vetted all their members,…they wouldn’t have any.

    Right wingnut extremists–check.
Hate everyone but white right wingnut extremists–check
    Lie a lot–check

    Done.

    Wikipedia:

As of their first national gathering in Tampa, Florida, on July 14–17, 2022, Moms for Liberty said they had 195 chapters in 37 states and nearly 100,000 members.[18] In June 2023, it said that it had 245 chapters in 45 states and a membership of more than 115,000.[12] As of July 2023, the organization has 285 chapters in 45 states.[19]

There aren’t all that many Moms for Liberty but it is above One Million Moms, which is a couple of guys in someone’s basement.

It’s basically an astroturf group for the Republican party.
Funding isn’t disclosed but what is known is typical GOP donors.

If Klanned Karenhood really vetted all their members to weed out the horrible people, the organization would disappear entirely. I support this plan.

    Owosso Harpist @ 1, nope.
Repeating denial and deflecting blame proves he’s guilty beyond any possibility of redemption.

Oh, Musk is getting sued by a 22 year old he trumpeted false allegations about. Claimed that the kid was in Oregon as part of a neo-nazi rally and was unmasked, courtesy of a xitter “investigator’s” post. Next thing you know, kid’s getting tons of death threats and more.
A college student, with surveillance video showing he was in California at the time, didn’t matter. Amplified by Musk, claims he’s a neo-nazi that’s a false flag by the government to something, something or something. The kid’s Jewish and a college student.
Their justification, one social media post where he stated an interest in working for the US government when he graduates college.
Hope he does a Dominion to Musk and xitter.

Musk is currently re-amplifying Pizzagate, because dead conspiracy theories must arise from the grave.

I say that we take off and nuke the Musk from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

It is possible that this Fisher guy was indeed framed by the LaRouchies. I certainly wouldn’t put such a thing past them — they’ve been a gaggle of loony cultists for a long time, and one thing all loony cultists hate is someone who tries to leave the cult.

It’s also possible — and, IMO, more plausible — that Fisher really did rape that kid; and either he left the LaRouchies to try to avoid punishment, or the kid’s parents pressed charges to try to punish him for leaving their cult. I wouldn’t put any of that past that lot either.

In any case, Fisher is, AT BEST, a bigoted loony who left one loony hate-cult for another.

@#2: Akira. The LaRouchies were all over the place. He started as far left and moved to to RWNJ during the 70s. I live in Loudoun County VA where he’s HQ was when he was raided and arrested in 1986. I was driving by his compound that day and didn’t believe how many State Police cars VA had. They were everywhere. At the timid we didn’t know what was going down except we knew where it was. His group ran candidates in some local elections but they never had the success he dreamed of.
Last year my sister in law was at a rehab hospital in Loudoun and I saw a car with a LaRouche bumper sticker in the parking lot. Was absolutely flabbergasted. They’re still around?

  9. says

I saw a LaRouche bumper sticker last year or thereabouts too. It was both shocking and ridiculous. I have no idea what they’re even doing anymore, if anything. Maybe there’s nothing left but scattered die-hard cultists keeping the fantasy alive inside them? Or maybe they’ve found an even crazier group to latch onto…

@ Raging Bee : “I was just wondering if LaRouchies still existed, and if old Lyndon was still alive…”

L LaRouche died in 2019 apaprently albeit not much known about it..

LaRouche’s death was announced on the website of one of his organizations. He died on February 12, 2019, at age 96. Neither the place nor cause of his death was specified.

wzrd1: Thanks for the cite. They sound like pretty much the same technofascist batshit-loony personality cult I remember from the late ’70s onward; plus at least some confirmation of rumors of FBI/COINTELPRO infiltration.

  12. says

PS: I see no mention in the cited article of LaRouche’s longstanding publicly-stated obsession with the Queen and her alleged masterminding of the pan-American drug trade. That wasn’t a side-issue for them — it was front and center for a long time, and well known to the rest of us. I suspect the article was written by LaRouche sympathizers.

Also It’s MOMS for Liberty. This dude don’t look like any mom to me. Maybe he “identifies” as a mom. Must be some kind of mental illness. Maybe they should send him to a special camp to get him fixed. Pray the mommy away.

Raging Bee @ 18, yeah, they used to track such loonies closely. Then, the far right started taking exception to the tracking and we’re in the mess we now have today.

Ray Ceeya @ 20, doubt it’d help, indeed, it’d likely add recruits. Note the pastor part at the beginning, just adds to their bullshit about religious persecution. That’s precisely all that’s needed for the idiot brigade to start shooting and blowing shit up.
