I guess some enterprising student could hit you with a ddos attack just in time to crash your zoom stream but at that point it’s probably easier to just go to class.

I think the zoom prank is to coordinate a time and simultaneously turn off you camera and change your name to “Disconnected”

Didn’t Edmond Scientific — or was it Heathkit — sell thagomizers ? I believe they came with an optional Stegosaurus attachment, albeit at considerable additional shipping cost (for some reason, live non-avian dinosaurs could not be shipped USPS).

@4, I believe it was Dynaco, with spare parts, etc., from Dynakit. In any case, as far as I can (very vaguely!) recall, they were strictly(? mostly?) hi-fi.

A thagomizer isn’t hi-fi as such, albeit for the thagomized, they presumably — if not squished — went quite high in flight. Not to mention the weird hi-fi cults who think magic crystals or whatever improves something, thagomizers probably make the ultra-high-end frequencies more realistic, “You are there when Thag Simmons screamed…”.

My school uses google meet. Another teacher sets up the “room”, so I’m a guest just like the students, not in control of it. I can’t remove students who disrupt, and students are able to mute me, which they’re not supposed to do. I end up wasting time on class management that I wouldn’t have to with in-person classes.
