Once the state is given power over women’s reproductive processes, will the next power grab be for men’s ding-a-lings? In the Bible Onan, who spilled his seed rather than impregnate with it, was killed by God who was wroth with Onan’s wasting of his seed (Gen. 38:8-10). And since conservative politics insists upon following the literalness of the Bible, it follows that once we stone women for abortions and miscarriages, men will be hanged for masturbating, wet dreams or having sex without the intent of impregnating.
The Bible is only literal when it doesn’t affect them.
