Good news, everyone. Turning Point USA, the obnoxious right-wing organization that papers my campus with conservative propaganda posters, seems to be flaming out…or at least, one can hope.
A former student activist for conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA on Monday called the organization a “shithole” with “increasing levels of drama” and “some of the most incompetent, lazy, and downright dishonest people I have ever encountered.”
Is anyone surprised?
The commentor obviously hasn’t yet been nominated for a position in the white house.

there are it seems still to be found the wild conservative idealists. I would have thought they became disillusioned with the lies, cheating and anti-democratic policies and thought leaders and died out 40 years ago,

I can’t help but think of the recent discussion about relative levels of infighting in left-wing vs. right-wing groups.
The conservative label makes my bias read his statement to silently include “…enough for me”, as in “they not dishonest enough for me to stay, so i’ll start a new paper even more dishonest, with more drama and .…”

Thank you. That confirms what I was thinking the phrase meant.
No idea on the †, but the very very probably is a reference to a now-mostly-defunct line of economic bullshiting, known as the Austrian School. It seems to be a form of loonytarianism, as mentioned by several commentators previously.
† Since loonytarianism has a religiously-strong devotion to individual property, I would not be surprised if is reference to something along those lines.

Yup, the Austrian School of economics preached loonytarianism. Funnily enough – *dramatic pause while everyone finishes laughing* – their teachings have never been implemented in Austria, which has mostly been Keynesianist since 1945. …Or pretty much anywhere else other than Chile under Pinochet.

I once saw a videor of F. A. Hayek. He seemed more like some fake guru on some strange drug than an economist. Scratch that last point about drugs. Lots of economists seem to be on some reality altering substance.
The original School seemed to have some good ideas but as others said, in the middle of the 20th C they descended into loonie libertarianism

Ftr, Bennett was aggrieved with the lack of support from TP’s mother org regarding the ridicule she and her Kent State U chapter worked hard to earn with an event lampooning the idea of “safe spaces” which involved (nominal) adults wearing diapers. (For free – Bennett’s implementation of “Austrian economics” contradicts the formerly infamous DC Madame’s practice of charging hundreds of dollars for similar amusements. Kids these days!)
