…you’re a bit late, I left on the 15th March.

But thanks for your best wishes and also farewell to Non-Stamp Collector, who I also hope will be doing well with whatever they choose to do next.

So, we can safely say they’ve Bjorn again uhm? Geddit? Like Bjorn in the video… I’ll see myself out.

You know, one of the biggest problems I have with FtB is that there are just too damn many bloggers, so I don’t have time to read them all. I feel particularly bad because I’ve never actually gotten around to reading anything from the people who are leaving.

Sorry, guys. Nothing personal, just lack of free time.

I saw the title of Comradde Physiocrappes latest post and though perhaps he was leaving as well. Alas, he’s just on vacation.

I keep telling myself I should check out Patheos one of these days, but that day doesn’t ever seem to arrive.

Oh, and in CPP’s latest post there’s an AWESOME wall of text comment from someone who wants to save his soul. Or something, it’s unreadable. Poe’s law applies, of course.

It’s worth checking out. Patheos is an amalgamation of some really good, insightful writers (even on the religion channels), the utterly vacuous (more of this than not), the interesting but confused/confusing (Leah Lebresco), and the utterly vile (Mark Shea and others).

Don’t tell me you and Ed are going to come down with ” empty nest syndrome” now?

I stopped following slacktivist when he moved to Patheos. As much as I was enjoying his thorough page-by-page deconstruction of the Left Behind series, the comment system there (and the pool of native posters) were insufferable.

I wish I could get my partner to blog & y’all to host him. He’s a genius and artist, and could bring a segment of diversity to FtB that is lacking. But bad self-esteem. So bad. And social anxiety. And there’s just no cure for that shit. It would be one more thing in his life he could barely handle, and for no reward that mattered to him.

I’ll re-state my last comment on this subject – Maybe y’all could get Haifisch Geweint or another trans*man to blog here. Plus more people focused on arts and culture. The fine art community is in dire need of a critical and atheist voice that isn’t merely blowing tired republican anti-art garbage at them. Or maybe a movie junkie that goes into all the subtextual sociology aspects of the stuff at the multiplex.

    Anyone have any ideas?

So there are fates worse than death. Heaven = Hellheim.

PZ, it’s been a real slice! Hope to see you out there on the convention trail.

Patheos’ commenting system is still a disaster, but the crowd at Slackivist has become a good deal closer to his old crowd, and his continuing evisceration of the Worst Books Ever Written is a thing of beauty. The recent revelation that the true manifestation of the evilness of the antichrist is his plan to *gasp* raise taxes and use the money to help the poor? Shocking.

Happy trails! I’l have to drift over and check Patheos out.
