No fun at all

I’m wrapping up book editing today, so I plan on spending the whole afternoon staring fixedly at a screen (oh, wait, isn’t that usually what I’m doing? OK, staring with less typing). I am going to be so boring for a while (oh, wait, I’m always boring. I might as well just wrap this up, every word is a lie anyway).

Restart: busy. Staying offline for a while.

But I’m thinking…who would like to do a Pharyngula hangout this weekend? Leave a comment, suggest times (it would be nice to bring in people who usually have time zone problems), and possible topics. Maybe I should nag this Chris Clarke fella to join in, too.

Now…back to work.

If I’m around and I can get Annette’s laptop to cooperate — she has a camera and I don’t — then I’m in. Will leave the suggestions of times to other participants, though, as I may be on the road.

Wait – I thought we were all sock puppets of PZ’s. Now I’m confused. (Or is PZ confused? I can’t keep track any more. The echoing in the chamber is too loud.)

Depending on the exact time, I might be able to sit in for an hour – if you’re willing to put up with a planetary astronomer. But I leave the timing to the horde’s decision.

Re. training squid minions: why am I now thinking of the joke that ends with the parrot saying “Okay, I’ll do whatever you say. But what did the chicken do?”.

…It’s imaginable that I might be able to buy a new laptop* with a camera on Saturday (and open a Google+ account the same day). But it’s not likely. I might be poring over the page proofs of a looong review paper all weekend long.

    * Planned anyway; delayed all the time due to work.

I thought all the horde were highly trained squid minions?!

Not all. For example, I am a poorly trained squid minion.
