I know, Bob, it’s terrible, I feel really bad now.
yeah, I think I know who he feels bad for too…

In Bob’s defense, he could well be Spanish and have no idea about April Fool’s day.

#3, is it only the Spaniards who are ignorant of the April Fools tradition, or perhaps Mexicans, Dominicans, and other Latin Americans? What about the Italians. For that matter, what about all the speakers of Romance languages?

If Wikipedia’s to be trusted, it’s mostly the Spanish speaking world. Italy and France are among the countries that celebrate April Fools.
I used Spain because (outside of the US) it’s the country I know best.
But yeah, he could be Dominican or Bolivian or whatever.
Or perhaps he’s just dense.

This is why April Fools’ is just fucking annoying.

good enough to catch one fish.
I hadn’t considered the fact that bob wouldn’t get “April 1st” as a reference, but your response here is dead on.
it was OBVIOUSLY written tongue in cheek.

Seriously, whoa.
For some reason, it took me a while to realize it was Greg’s real april fool post, and not some stuff that Allen pulled out of thin air (he did pull out the outrage though). Still, plenty stupid.
And me too. Too much homework I think.

Mexican friends say that traditionally anything borrowed on April 1 need not be returned. I do not know if this applies to banks.
You and I are both of the caucasian persuasion, Greg. I was raised as a WASP also. The guy that you like to follow sounds angry – and he has a right to be – living an entire life-time (unlike you or I) being treated as a person of color.

I’d looked at the current date and saw the 8th (seven days after the 1st), but overlooked the month… and all the comment datestamps here.

Aaaaand, he’s back:
So – it looks like April 1 – IS the day to say nasty Racist things – and then cover the Racism with a good ol’ White Guy thingy of – “HEY – I didn’t mean any of the Rascism stuff cuz it’s April 1 !!!!!!”
I guess any ol’ excuse for Racism works, huh ??????

He was corrected more than a month ago, on the very next post!
Could he have been drive-by trolling that time, and never came back to read the third post?
If so, then this is a spectacular example of petard hoisting!
