If it’s Monday, it must be CSU Chico

This one seems to be a bit buried, but apparently I’ll be speaking at The Graduate (400 W 1st Street) at 4 pm in Chico. All I know is my ride arrives soon — apparently this is one of the awkward legs of the tour where I’ve imposed a long drive on my hosts.

    I’ll second the Sierra Nevada Brewery comment. Go there for dinner. Order a beer sampler tray. It’s awesome.

    The drive isn’t that bad. 90 minutes ish from Davis. Enjoy the world smallest mountain range (aka Sutter Buttes) on your right (if you can see it in the crappy weather).

    I assume you’re staying at a Downtown Sacramento hotel while you’re here. If that’s true, the parking at SCC is terrible; bad enough to where you might consider taking light rail to SCC.

    If you’re staying at, say, the Hyatt, light rail will basically be Point A to Point B. You’d be there in 15 minutes. Just make sure you get on a Meadowview-bound train!

    By the way, if you are at the Hyatt, I work about 2 blocks from there…

    My daughter attends the high school that’s 1/2 mile from SCC. I printed out the flier for the event to give to one of her teachers. I think she might have left it at home today. Oops.

    Ok, so which day of the week are you going to make it to Johannesburg, South Africa? I know it’s a pretty long drive, but still.

    I’m, going to miss your appearance in Australia by a month which sucks and I don’t see myself travelling America in the near future.

    My wife has been told though, in no uncertain terms, that we will be driving through a town called Morris if we ever get to the US of A.

    Any details on the thursday Sierra college talk? Unless I’m looking at the wrong schedule it still says TBA.
