Dear PZ, I listened to you and your point about the focus group method results in bland fare (takes away the flavor) I so agree. I think centrist politics does the same thing. We need to have some clear thought and opinions and go for it, even if they offend some.

For anyone who hasn’t listened to the Point of Inquiry podcast before – why haven’t you?! No, that’s not what I wanted to say. I wanted to say that on POI, DJ Grothe always asks the “devil’s advocate” questions, so much so that sometimes it’s hard to tell when he has a legitimate beef with the person he is interviewing. I actually like this approach, as it removes the personality of the interviewer from the equation.
