Pope Fuzzy explains how people who mess around with the god-given nature of gender are like nuclear weapons. (Spoiler: they both wreck everything.)
The Pope has compared the threat of transgender people to nuclear weapons.
The head of the Catholic Church made the claims, that have come to light this week, in an interview for a book last year.
According to the National Catholic Reporter, he said: “Let’s think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings.
“Let’s think also of genetic manipulation, of the manipulation of life, or of the gender theory, that does not recognize the order of creation.”
And there you have it. They mess with GOD’S HOMEWORK.
“With this attitude, man commits a new sin, that against God the Creator.
“The true custody of creation does not have anything to do with the ideologies that consider man like an accident, like a problem to eliminate.”
It’s only the ideologies that consider humans a toy created by a god who get everything right and thus have “the true custody of creation” – whatever that might be.
Well hey, I was born not knowing any language. Isn’t it messing with creation to change me into something that does know a language? Isn’t that like nuclear weapons and the gender theory too?

Its not like his life has been manipulated, or anything, says the aging ‘virgin’ in a dress who lives in a gilt palace.
This week the journal Nature published a feature article Sex redefined. The article compiles many findings about human biology, some I knew, some I found surprising:
That quote was my favorite takeaway because it goes beyond a “spectrum” from typical female to male bodies with so-called Disorders of Sex Development in between. It says even the typical female and male bodies are murky.
So Pope Frankie has never had surgery, doesn’t wear glasses or contacts, has no fillings in his teeth, has never been vaccinated, or had anything else done to “God’s Creation.”

Wow, that’s incredible! Makes me wonder, is it each individual cell, or does it work by class of cell? Would it be possible for a male to have female skin, or would it just be a patch of skin (“patch” possibly being a single cell) that was female? What are the implications of being a patchwork?
Question: did Jesus — or even Paul or Leviticus — explicitly compare gay or transgender people to the extermination by fire of any significant number of people?
Seriously, I can’t find any basis for this level of bigotry, even in the most extreme of holy texts, let alone in real-world reasoning.

His Popeness is referring to “Natural Law,” which is what Catholic theologians fall back on when they can’t find Biblical authority for their opinions and prejudices. Natural Law means “I feel it in my heart” and “God is whispering in my ear” and “bafflegab gobbledegook hocuspocus.”
Sam@7, I’m not a biologist, so all I know about my quote in my #4 above is what I read in the Nature article I linked.
Richard Dawkins’ book about evolution The Greatest Show on Earth has a fascinating chapter about embryology. He says it’s a popular misconception to think of DNA as a blueprint for a house. Instead he describes embryonic development as 3D origami, as cells acting locally develop a body as a whole. Given that, I can see my body being typically male as a statistic of my cells, not a logical M or F.
I look forward to more research and popularization about this, especially if the facts might help people feel more kinship between people with more and less typical bodies.
