Jeffrey pines are ridiculously photogenic trees.
I love the twistiness.
I wonder what made the Jeffrey pine to evolve into producing n-heptane (an easily ignited and exploding compound used for defining the zero point in car fuel octane rating tests) as a part of its resin and not the usual terpenes (pinenes and carenes, main components of turpentine).
