Bush crickets?! That is something I’ve never heard them called. I grew up calling them “grasshoppers” and to tell the truth they give me the shudders. For some reason (Oh -- I’m sure it’s not climate change! /s) we had a huge population explosion of these for many years. They were so bad you could not walk across vast expanses of pavement without them everywhere, jumping on you, and all the trees had the leaves eaten off them to about 8′ high. (2.43 meters.) I mean, the chickens were happy… but it’s pretty tough to garden under those conditions.
