This week we have gorgeous spring blossoms from Avalus. This is a Mirabelle Plum tree and it’s magnificent. The critter in the last photo seems to agree, although it is likely not enjoying the blossoms as much as it will the fruit to come.

Lovely shots! It’s “sneeze season”
Lovely but I am still in Winter Mode. For a second I thought the first photo was a tree with a lot of snow on its branches.
I think we are two or three weeks behind you but it’s up to 14 degrees at the moment.
^ I can’t wait for winter -and rain. So fn dry here its ridiculous. :-(
Got a garden of tough drought tolerant native species. Soaking them once every week or two to just keep them alive.
Out in the bush, a lot of tough native plants including long lived massive old trees are dying or struggling and right on the edge.
Anzac day (25th April) here is usually when we get rain and a proper cahnge to (our) wintery weather. Whether we get it this time, (I hope but doesn’t look too likely right now.)

That sounds just like here. Our tulips are up, but not open and tree blossoms are still off in the distance.

My sympathies. I know it’s been a hot, dry season for Australia and it must be hard to watch long lived plants and trees die off. I hope you get rain and cooler temps soon.
Beautiful! Speaking of sexy plants, my magnolia’s gone wild this year -- every year it has more and more flowers, but this year it’s just pink and white all over. Nothing else (in the garden) is out yet, but I think the sour cherry is preparing itself for something lovely.
And yesterday I saw a squirrel, too! I didn’t have a camera handy, but it sat on a single branch doing nothing for about half an hour, looking all fluffy and adorable.
