Just saw a Finnish cartoon of Trump and Putin walking together, each with a “nuclear briefcase” that’s cuffed to the owner’s left wrist. Trump uses his right hand for cheerily waving to onlookers, seemingly distracted, while the poker-faced Putin actually carries both briefcases by the handle, subtly leading Trump by the left wrist.
Putin has about two public expressions, he doesn’t like giving anything away. I thought the artist did a great job of capturing just how creepy Trump is, with that grin.

Actually Putin can look quite human when he is in a more relaxed setting. He even has a somewhat wry sense of humour.
Few heads of state/heads of government look happy in Trump’s presence. Angela Merkel, on her first encounter with Trump, had a rather stunned look of disbelief—something along the lines of “I know I was briefed but nothing prepared me for this”.

Anyone who watches some of that “press conference” with 45 and Putin and doesn’t come away with the absolute certainty that 45 is a complete idiot is simply deluded.

Hey, 45 was almost coherent several times!
Up against an astute politician like Putin, Trump does look like the village idiot and he does not seem to have the slightest inkling of how outclassed he is.

That’s the problem with people like Trump: they are very convinced of them,selves, but are mostly scraping the bottom of the barrel. Somebody smart and malevolent just wipes the floor with them and they don’t even notice.
Usually they’re the people who lose the life time savings of family home because they found a way to beat the system.
Only this time the house and the savings are the USA and whatever approximation to democracy you once had.

Fittingly only the first two look happy about winning.
