From rq: beginning of May, one half of the sky was flashing purple and violet (second photo), the other half was a calm bright moon behind slow clouds. I just love these, especially the first one. Click for full size!
Ack, the flashing purple and violet is obviously the second photo! The usual lightning storm passing less than a km away (they just tend to float by, skirting the actual property, dropping most rain and lightning bolts on all the neighbours… it’s some quirk in the geography of the river valley).
Both shots are gorgeous! Brilliant colour in the second, but the line of trees under the moon in the first photo makes the sky seem so vast and they add a hint of melancholy.
