The colours and the sheen make it look creepily mechanical, a clockwork grackle stalking among the mundanity of dishes and a bright orange background. They’re great, expressive shots, but there’s a touch of menace. ;)

Very fine shots indeed.
I never realised grackles have such long legs.

This creature is larger than the grackles that are common to New York. And more aggressive. Flew onto the tables next to ours and helped themselves to brunch like they were guests at the hotel. This individual might be larger than normal due to the ready supply of a calorie dense Western diet?

In the first pictue the grackle is saying “You looking at me?”
They have a high degree of size related sexual dimorphism. From Wikipedia: For example, the male great-tailed grackle is 60% heavier than the female. Or fellow diner may have been a male of the selfies.

The auto adjust feature on the phone brings up the tint and contrast. The original photos looked washed out. Because of course they do. I left the camera at home again and all I have is this phone. And the other phone.
