@Giliell (and you other Europeans): I used to read about your birds in books. Studied these particular finches (Bullfinch and Hawfinch) because people sometimes keep them as cage birds. I was really interested in learning about them, even though I had no plans to do such a thing (keep them as cage birds, I mean). I think they are really fascinating. And you guys get to just SEE them, live, right in your gardens or just flying around! I just feel you are all really fortunate to be able to see them like that, whereas I have to resort to looking at photos in my books. It’s so nice to see them in your photos, I really appreciate it but had not expressed that yet.
Kestrel, I like that caine is showing birds from around the world whenever she gets them. Birds are beautiful all over.

Concurring Charly. It’s nice to see differences and similarities in the avian fauna in various parts of the world.

Well, I agree with you all -- seeing birds from all over the world is totally fascinating. Pretty amazing, too.
Giliell, I have to admit -- hummingbirds are really cool and we DO have some very nice jays. :-D We have Steller’s Jays that come in making noises exactly like a red-tailed hawk, I guess to scare us… hilarious.

Ah, but that feeling is mutual.
I mean, some of you have hummingbirds! How cool is that?
Or your bluejays…

A nice sideways glance. And once again the branch may be tilted 60 °, but the bird sits straight.
