I was about to say, isn’t that a legless lizard? :D I did not realize they were also called slowworms, they apparently live quite happily in these parts as well, but I should be so lucky as to capture one on camera! It is the most adorable little creature.
Well, the reason I captured it one camera is that my sis caught it and put it into a bucket for a few hours to show it to the kids. I took its picture when I released it into the compost heap.

Looks much like the tiny skinks that skitter about in the undergrowth here, but with less legs.
