I love the mix of folk + metal and then sticking a major choir on it, too.
This past weekend we were out on the west coast and it happened to be the annual Sea Festival weekend all. along. THE ENTIRE. coast. (so you can imagine traffic because we thought hey we go so rarely we’ll make a trip along the coast instead of cutting across dry land) but on the plus side our endpoint was hosting a live presentation of a rock musical about ancient Courland and the vikings, right in this style -- fantastic solo voices, solid background choir singing, and metal-rock music (and motorcycles) for effect (also some fancy lights and smoke). That, right by the sea and the main (major!) port. *thumbs up*
