Orioles are extremely camera shy in my experience… I’ve even tried shooting pics of them through the window where I’m quite hidden and they still know I’m there and flee. All my “bad” ones are way worse… :-) I love the nests they make. So clever!
Oh, I wouldn’t say this was in focus at all. I have gotten brilliant shots of them before, perched on half an orange, and not caring about me at all, but this one looked to be very young, and the only one I’ve seen all year. Nary a sign of any females, either. They usually don’t care about cameras as much as the males.

Not such a bad shot. My few attempts to photograph orioles have mostly resulted in lovely shots of the leaves, but no bird.

It’s not all my fault, though. The neighbour’s cat keeps the birds fidgety and on edge.

An oriole taking shelter between the branches. The fact that the photo is a bit out of focus is informative.

Orioles are very skittish and hard to photograph. I’m impressed that you got one in focus.
