Year by year I feel increasingly dependent on solar for personal energy. Are those rhododendrons? and peony (sp?) buds? And maybe bluebells?
rqsays
From the top:
-- creeping vine on a pine;
-- rose and garlic;
-- peonies (I had another photo from a different angle, and they looked rather… lewd…);
-- rhododendron (seen earlier this year with a snowcap!).

The shot of the peonies is just splendid… I really like that one.
The garlic is lovely. Maybe I’m yearning for more greenery. Grass is still brown here and the seeds I’ve sown haven’t visibly germinated yet on my windowsill.

Thanks, all! Still waiting for the annual green explosion -- the one where you wake up one morning and all the trees have sprouted. Could be this weekend, or next week, but it will be soon, and it will be lovely!
